Done! Looks like my restitution will be about $3k, only because I leased.
I think your state may not allow you to register it until fixed. The good news is that this probably won't happen for years
Beat me to it. This is one of my all-time favorite cars, every aspect of it is totally bad ass.
Nice truck! It's a shame that almost all of these things are long beds, I really prefer the short box styling. This generation was definitely my favorite of the f100 though
Jason, you missed the worst part about keys - the constant flopping around while you drive, banging into the dash. I’ve hated this since I started driving.
We also have the same sonicare toothbrush and love it, however the replacement heads are BRUTALLY expensive! I wish there was a 3rd party option for replacements.

That’s funny! I’m sure they have it setup so they’re protected on a trashed car... they have to. There’s so many questions in this lawsuit, like what happens if you owned a TDI when the recall was announced, but it has since been totaled as the result of an accident? Does the insurance company get the claim, or do you…
I’m curious about it as well because one could argue that we overpaid for a car in the year of the original purchase and we should be able to write that off as a loss? My wife and I both leased a TDI, so we might find out the hard way, not that it’s a ton of money but it’d be annoying.
Money awarded to you by a court can absolutely be taxed, but not always.
I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that these numbers are based on “Good” condition. Your mileage question is an interesting one though.
This post made a lot more sense after seeing your username.
Resale value took a big hit because of this and a lot of owners specifically bought the car to be “Green”.
Very informative post.
Isn’t this basically a non-issue because cars with these types of features almost always have automatic headlights? I get that as tech gets cheaper more and more cars will come standard with these features, but that also means they’ll probably have automatic headlights. Let’s just say that they should be setup this…
I’ll watch tonight when it airs on BBC USA, but I’d like to say a few things:
God... I had one briefly and didn’t care much for it, but I drove a friends years later on an autocross course and absolutely fell in love with it. I was using mine in the wrong environment the whole time :(
I had an SH in this same color, it was a great honest little car.... even if the seats were brutally uncomfortable. Beautiful styling though!
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who felt this way. The previous episodes were bad, there’s no denying that, but they’re actually attempting to improve the show based on feedback (too much Evans, Evans screaming all the time, too little Harris) and it’s paying off IMO. The majority of the episode was spent on…
