There's really no good way to tell if it's a real one, there's so many companies who made parts for the regular M3 that were CSL knockoffs. I'd say the most tell-tale bits would be the carbon door panels and the seats, only because they're the hardest to source for those looking to make a replica.

I wanted to like the thing, but couldn’t after sitting in one. They made the tufted leather insert in the door card out of fucking plastic!! That drove me insane. The seats also had no bolstering which is a let down and I felt like ford did a great job styling the front end, but just got lazy with the rear.
