I'll tell you why: the least expensive Colorado you can buy with 4 wheel drive is $27k+

Honestly I think you're way better off going the route you did. The iX is a cool car, I had an 88, but they're fairly fragile cars and parts are not very easy find, or cheap for that matter. Due to the constant torque split they are beastly winter cars (when they're working correctly) but I'd rather have a RWD model

You've always got to wonder why these people sell a $20k semi exotic car and don't take 30 minutes to get a tire patched. If they couldn't handle that, what else is wrong with the car that can't easily be seen?

Not a bad play! That market has already really exploded, not to say there's not room to grow, but they used to be easily had in the $10-15k range. The key is to keep your eyes out for the next E30!

1M values will go down, but I think that car is going to be much more of a limited production run than the M2. If I had a warehouse and tons of money, the 1M would be a great long term value bet once their prices are hit from the M2 release.

Now playing

I think it's a driver's error in this case, the new Vipers are beasts in a straight line. Here's a lightly modded one vs a modded C7 Z06:

I drove one of these for about a month.... I hated it. My problems with the car were that it had awful road noise and the power delivery was annoying- it'd come in a huge rush when you didn't want it to. This could have probably been solved with a tune very easily, but I just grew to hate the car very quickly.

Look below, I replied to another comment and added some ebay links. Apparently that's not the norm now like I thought it was, so these can still be had reasonably!

I had one of those and sold it recently. Pretty fun little car, but nowhere as good as the RWD counterpart.

Yep, here's one right now:

I was talking specifically low mileage examples in great condition such as follows:

They're killer cars for sure, but the price on them is going up very quickly. For a low mile e39 M sport with the facelift you're talking $20-30k. People caught on that they were 90% M5 but with triple the reliability :(

That's a great body style. Mid 50's were the best for pickups.

From the ad: "This is an Auction for the downpayment ONLY"

Well you know what I mean, hatchbacks. My friend has a 135 and assuming it's not much smaller than the hatch, I could see how the back seat would suck to ride in.

First one is a damn good looking car I think, it's too bad we never got it in god's country.

Oh good, more weight.

For regular CTS seats they were fine, but in a car that was supposed to compete with the M division cars, you'd expect some side bolstering. I dont know when the last time you were in one, but I can assure you that the interior is far from that of a german car. Materials, fit and finish, everything. Its a shame

I thought the first gen CTS-V was the perfect car for me. Good styling, great engine, reliable, fast, etc... then I drove one. I was expecting the interior to be subpar, but man it is terrible. The seats were from a base model car with some alcantara slapped in the middle, absolutely no bolstering.

I agree 100%. I think it'll still be a while before we see much under $30k with reasonable mileage though.
