Read below for the convo I was having with Ivan. A Miata's rods will turn to noodles with that much pressure in no time flat.

Not for long you're not, unless you have some factory freak engine.

That engine needs building to hold anything north of 220ish WHP, the rods go all floppy. This would just be a cool and random swap, though I'd imagine the little srt engine is probably cheap!

Has anyone ever swapped the engine into something light and rwd? Imagine the fun to be had in a Miata!

I may sound perpetually pessimistic, but I think the fact that we're going through this shit AGAIN and the artificially low mortgage rates are a sign that the economy of the US is really struggling. Everything is far out of wack and it cannot be sustained.

It used to be the greatest show ever, but the last few seasons feel very, um, wrong to me. Like none of it flows and it's almost entirely based on the host's antics and less on the cars.

"... And you're telling me the people who made this got bailed out?"

They're okay, I guess... but not for $30k with high miles. They're already too expensive for regular Joes.

lol, so true. This thing sounds incredible.

Regardless of how the new M3/4 does, I think the E9x prices will fall because used car, but you're right in that it'll definitely play a role. My fingers are crossed that I'll be able to snag a clean sedan with good miles for the low $30k range.

I've noticed that they're kind of all over the place with prices. Some cars, like the M5 up above, are extremely reasonably priced, while others are the better part of $10k high.

There's an endless amount of these trucks in my area. For some reason, which I cannot understand, they don't have smog requirements AT ALL and are allowed to do whatever the hell they please. So many Monster energy drink stickers. So much coal. Make the madness stop!

This and Leguna Seca Blue as well as Evergreen are possibly the worst colors BMW ever offered.

This list is pretty terrible. I can think of a lot more cars that are poised to increase in the NEAR future: early GTI, BMW 2002 (why is that the main picture, but not included??), FD RX7, MK2 MR2, etc.

Volvo is officially the coolest car company that I will never buy a car from.

When I think 80's, I think Fiero.

"The most common dealer scam these days is "the 2nd key". They "lose" the 2nd key and hope the buyer doesn't bug them about it. Then they sell that 2nd key for $300 to one of their other customers later on when they lose their ONLY KEY"

Good article, I loved my old E46 M. Mine had the SMG, which I'll admit isn't as good as the manual, but it never gave me an issue. I think the SMG pump failure is blown very far out of proportion- it's not nearly as common as you'd think with proper maintenance.
