Don’t shower the week before flying.
If you needed a medical emergency to escape holiday travel and you are felling so happy and relieved that you think the medical emergency was worth it, in the name of your health, please just lie! Chances are no one will call you on it...
Riiiiight... so get rid of the smaller, safer, more fuel efficient cars, for the larger, less safe, less fuel efficient cars.
Got it.
Tell about more of your big brain ideas.
I have to wonder how much of this is the vehicles, and how much of it is the kind of people who purchase those vehicles.
I’m guessing the kind of people who buy minivans are also the kind of people who are least likely to drive aggressively.
That’s an extremely stupid suggestion.
Not realizing that your decisions are unethical is not a defense.
The non-hypothetical option.
People that drive huge SUVs and BroDozer trucks put other normal sized vehicles on the roadways at risk. Intentionally. That says quite a bit. The ethical implication of the decision to save yourself and your family while putting others at greater risk is very clear. Whether you choose to admit it or not.
There are plenty of studies out there that prove he’s right.
“According to the NHTSA, SUVs performed more poorly than cars when it comes to rollover statistics”
“According to Consumer Reports...taller, narrower vehicles such as SUVs, pickup trucks and vans are more susceptible to tumble over compared to traditional…
That quote is from 2011.
Not worth your time Doc, you won’t be able to get COMTNDRVR to concede, he’s a contrarian.
“..So sure, it says a small amount about taller cars...”
The fact that they weren’t injured has nothing to do with them being in an SUV, and everything to do with cars being more safe now. Doesn’t mean that there isn’t a greater chance of death from a roll over accident.
I’ll take that bet. Given the location of the forces involved the Accord would not roll in this collision, as all of the force is above its center of gravity. The real worry for the Accord would be the larger CUV going on top of it.
It does kind of seem like that would have been poetic justice, doesn’t it?
I actually drive an SUV so I can pretend that I’m an active person than goes hiking and climbing and kayaking.
Finders, keepers. Obvs.
Even manufacturers knows that, hence the sticker:
The advantage to purchasing an early Mustang project, is that you can literally buy any part of it new, when you put it back together the right way. I mean, even new bodies; the whole thing. So getting a poorly done resto, and putting it right, is a fun thing to do.
