In the US you have to get clearance with the FAA to occupy airspace. Beyond that, it’s the wild west.
Except this is a 610 foot ship... not a small boat :-)
Focus RS Drift Mode... brought to you by your local Michelin dealer.
It’s not that they thought “that will never work”... it just made the most economic sense to spend money on getting things into space more quickly... rather than develop reusable rockets. We are now to a point where we are in need of sending so much stuff to space, that we need a “Jet Blue” of rockets... Elon saw this…
The eggs “...are destroyed using fire or ethanol.”
That’s a sour attitude. Why can’t they both be congratulated? SpaceX started at the bottom. Should we have brushed off SpaceX before such success? There is enough praise to go around... even if Blue Origin isn’t as far along as Space X... the more the merrier.
“Cryptically admitting”?
The announcer answered your question... it’s not a balk because he does it the same way every time... so the batter knows it is the 2nd one that yields the pitch. If he starts mixing it up, sometimes one, sometimes 2, then it’s a balk.
What about “sloshing womb” or “uterine chill”... those were the most relaxing times of my life.
In other shocking news, there is not really a sexy co-ed that wants me... who lives 2 blocks away.
If we live at 100% efficiency (with water, food, energy consumption), we’d likely all die at the first sign of drought, crop disease, or the like. A little bit of inefficiency allows us to ‘tighten our belts’ during the hard times.
I love that the old timers are badasses... and passing this along to another generation. Good stuff.
It’s unsinkable!
86! Damn, that is awesome. I do 4 sets of 25 over the span of 15min and thought I was getting along nicely. My hat’s off to you!
$100? For a toothbrush? Doesn’t that make it The Dumbest Toothbrush You’ve Seen?

To think we put men on the moon with such ‘low tech’ equipment amazes me. All the computations combined to go to the moon could probably be done on my phone in a matter of seconds (I just pulled that out of thin air). Props to ALL the people that contributed... including the hundreds of engineers behind the scenes…
Don’t confuse ‘reported environmental impact’ with actual ‘measured environmental impact.’ I was only half joking when I said there is a great deal of hand waving in these reports... there is, actually.
It’s sad. I have kids and make an effort to expose them to all kinds of cultures and teach them about societies around the world. I hate that as they age they must learn the harsh truths about the violence in the world. I hope to one day visit the middle east with them... even if when they are adults.
Yep. A lot of them were skilled labor and were sought after and compensated. Skeletal evidence of injuries that were medically treated and healed well suggest they were taken care of... pretty cool.
