Worked for Rich Rebuilds...lol

Ding...ding..ding!

The fact that so many of the posts here are lighting up the guy who got scammed and not the actual guy who stole the car says a lot about where our society is going.

Germans gonna German

If you're reading between the lines his parents seem wealthy.  I'm willing to bet that had something to do with the initial charges.

I just died laughing.

I think you’d have to drive one first before coming to that conclusion. Even if we’re just doing paper wars the Yaris is around 700 pounds lighter, and probably a lot more rigid.  That usually speaks to a completely different class of driving experience.

Eh...considering how easy it is to pander to whatever base is pushing you the most views I don't think so.

Because old but is proven to work means a lot more when you’re traveling around on terrain that a breakdown can literally get you killed. I see your point but it’s not the same value system.

Hydrogen cars are important for all of the issues battery powered EVs have that people keep ignoring..I'm more interested in the acknowledgement of hydrogen.

I wish people would stop saying this.  All EVs don't rely on battery packs.  The EV means electric vehicle not battery powered electric vehicle.

Is this something that also applies to Hydrogen cars?  They're EVs as well right?

I have no reason to buy an EV until they start designing affordable ones for people who genuinely love driving cars. Admittently they’re barely doing that with ICE cars so maybe it’s not an EV thing as much as ac industry thing. Also, I live in a condo, charging a battery EV isn’t realistic.  I'm honestly more

Actually no, what would have been amazing is if they’d caught it before they sold it. For such an important weld, them figuring out how to get the strength results back before they came off the boat and ended up at a dealership would have been impressive.

You have a VW emblem as an avatar just saying. They’re selling 20 year old Toyota Surpras for over 100k. I’m not even going to get into what old FJ cruisers are going for. Why do you think buying a 15 y/o Toyota/Lexus for 11k is being out of your gourd?

I’ve had the chance to test drive one at a car sure. I really liked it. I thought it was very responsive off the line, had nice interior room, very practical and still fun to drive.  I think a Honda fit would be closest I'd compare it to buy much quicker.

I don't think they'd do any of this if people weren't paying for it.  So I'm not sure blaming the car company for giving their customers what they want is the issue.

I believe you hit the nail right on the head.

I don’t even know if you’re joking. Do you think the money supply would have almost quadrupled in the last 20 years if the interest rate was only growing at ~2%? Where is all the extra money going? We have record worldwide debt and no savings, at least in America. Do you think the amount of goods in the world

That 2% number hasn’t been and is not accurate. The global money supply was around 20 trillion circa 2000, now it’s about 70.  We'll just keep printing more and more money til everything costs more everywhere, then we'll have to take a loan out to buy a loaf of bread.
