This is horrifying. If I have a miscarriage, I want that fetal tissue to go to research if at all possible, so that it can save other lives. If I have an abortion, same thing. I want it to be used for research so that lives can be saved. That is MY fucking choice. After all, a parent can opt for their child’s organs…

I saw a preview of it last weekend. It’s actually much better than I thought it would be. I liked it.

Took our pre-teen, out kid to an advanced screening of this last weekend. Any attempts by me to critique the film were crushed by the fact that our kid wept openly for pretty much the last 20 minutes of the film. When the lights came up, kid looked at us and said, “That’s me.”

I’ll eat my hat if 1). They don’t already sleep in twin beds separated by a nightstand with 2 lamps and a stack of old Readers’ Digests and 2). if they do have sex and somehow don’t use a “modesty curtain” between the two of them (think of it like a cotton-poly blend gloryhole).

I’m guessing they’re pinning all their rhetorical hope on the phrase “previous administrations.” They think they’ve found some giant loophole there.

Th US government isn’t coming after you with a regiment of red coats...it coming after you with drones, satellites, APCs, AC-130 gunships, Tomohawks, Blackhawks, etc, etc...anything you can legally buy is the equivalent of a peashooter that usually ends up in the wrong hands.

The NRA profits from the deaths of American citizens. Of course they dont’t want regulations on guns. We regulate cars more than we regulate the devices specifically designed to end life.

The NRA is suing because the law would prevent 18-year olds from buying firearms and therefore violates the Second Amendment, which states (in its entirety) “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
