Well, currently I can access anything on that's on the hard drive connected to my Airport Extreme with MobileMe. No matter where I am I can stream all of my movies, access my resume, or whatever! It's come in handy multiple times. If Apple built this into iOS, made it automatic, and maybe made it free, that'd be

Working at a computer store where people are constantly coming in crying because they lost their thesis/photos or what have you because they didn't back up, I'm all for Apple giving people more of an incentive to buy something that backs up as easily and awesomely as Time Machine does. PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE DATA IN TWO

Fantastic article. This is a true understanding of what Apple is doing, and with that, the future of computing.

Even though it's not iPhone, I use Flipboard on iPad and it's unbelievable. I hardly use Safari anymore. Flipboard shows me all of my favorite websites in a gorgeous layout with no ads.

Someone give this man a star

Yeah but what's up with those icons?

This is awesome. I bet a big reason the labels signed on is because they can finally make money off the music we pirated by charging us $99 per year to stream it and replace low-quality versions with better ones. I honestly think this is a great idea. I know we've all gotten use to stealing, but we shouldn't be. This

Or space that would normally be used for the battery is now taken up by empty space. But Apple has been really great with battery life. Maybe they're realizing they can now spend time focusing on accident-proofing them instead of increasing their charge.

The difference is you have to manually install it. The only thing this does is download the installer and open itself (if you have that option checked in Safari). You still need to agree to the installation.

They're going to get away with little judgement too. If Apple made that kind of false claim they'd be ripped apart. Another thing to note is that Dell claims 8.5 hours of battery but Engadget only got 3-4 hours. Meanwhile Apple claims 7 hours and gets 7.5 hours in real life.

To be fair, it uses less power than a lightbulb and if they use these for a while, through many product cycles that would require new signs, it might not be so bad for the environment.

That's just it. Streaming music to speakers. But until you use it I think it's hard to grasp why it's so cool. I have a PS3 and used to use it for streaming from my computer but there are a ton of downsides, the major one being that I need to turn the PS3 on. The AppleTV is always on and uses no energy and requires no

They did the Android article first, for people just like you. They even linked to it and you're STILL complaining!

Except if it's anything like every other iPhone upgrade, it'll actually be better. USB 3.0 is not better than Thunderbolt. That's the difference.

They don't want one port that does everything and supports almost every protocol? USB can't output video on its own and can't daisy chain. I think HP is confusing contention with buzz.

It will be even worse when a new social networking site overtakes Facebook and people look at Facebook like we do MySpace now.

As silly as it sounds, I'm really excited for the new login screen. Looks so cool! And apparently it fades into your desktop really nicely.

Very well put. And honestly, even if Mac OS X ran on other hardware I wouldn't buy anything other than a Mac, at least with the current offerings. Even though the innards are essentially the same, their design and build quality are unrivaled.

It does not. The option is only available on the 27". Not much room in the 21.5" haha.
