As clever as this is, I don't find it useful. The built-in warning is already only dismissible with a click (instead of by hitting return) so it's pretty hard to accidentally ignore.

It was only recently that Android tablets started to use Honeycomb... Before that they were literally running a blown of versions of Android 2.x

It should improve standby battery life also. I believe the MacBook Air can be asleep for so long (30 days) because it stores an image in the SSD. Don't quote me on that.

There's a good reason Apple computers take up ~90% of the premium computer market. I feel like this retirement is similar to the VW Phaeton. If the consumer is going to spend money, they're going to buy an Audi, not a VW. In MOST cases, people buy PCs because they're cheap and get the job done.

I personally haven't jailbroken, mainly because I find most of the reasons silly (read: customizing the already beautiful icons) but i'm all for changing the lock screen.

1. So is every other tablet out there, some of which even running Android 2 instead of an OS modified for a bigger screen. Sure, they have SD card slots and some other stuff, but you're also comparing something that isn't even out yet to something that came out a year ago. We'll see if second gen iPad has more stuff…

I have this feature with MobileMe and I love it. I not only use it for spam, but for craigslist too. You even have the option to reply from that address on any iOS device. But I also pay $100 a year which is arguably too much...
