@The Werewolf: But apps do exist for the Mac, and there are A LOT, many industry standards not even running on Windows (ie Final Cut and Logic Studio). And a lot of software that's only written for windows is just POS and banking systems and such. Plus, you can run Windows on a Mac, so while I understand what you're

@o0RaidR0o: You're just going to compare some specs and say they're the same device? Wow.

@JawzX2: 4-6gb?!?! dude, what are you doing on your phone?? I feel like I'm constantly using data and barely hit 1gb. Although I guess I have access to wifi a lot of the time but STILL!

@cbstryker: What vinod1978 said. And Apple did kind of reinvent the iPhone. And before you completely dismiss what i just said, think about smartphones before iPhone... Now think about them after iPhone... Multitouch, app stores (ones that are actually popular, easy to use, and have an effect on the gaming industry),

@bdinger: Yeah, iPad in no way replaces a desktop or laptop. You need a laptop/desktop just to turn it on when you first buy it! Don't get me wrong, I have one and love it. But it acts as an extension to my desktop. Work on desktop, play on iPad.

Sleep iPod!! That's so amazing. Thanks, lifehacker!

It's flawed because no one can refrain from eating the button.

"To backup system files or default applications, like iOS's built-in calendar, you'll have to jailbreak your iOS device."

Good move, Apple. I'm always afraid of using my iPhone even if it's drizzling because if one tiny drop gets into the headphone jack it could void my warranty. I guess I don't need to be so fearful anymore!

I have it! It's way cool.

So do they still have 3G? Or if they do have 3G, can they even access website that way or are websites down because the internet is down? Can someone clear this up for me?

@Victorioso: It became popular because millions of people have a device that can play it and it's $0.99... I understand there are games like it, but Angry Birds is cute, fun, and easy to obtain.

@Recoil: It's not that I don't know what I'm missing. It's a different type of game. I've been gaming for 18 years, from SNES to owning all 3 current-gen systems. Games like Angry Birds fill a void. When I'm on the subway, waiting for the bus, or have any quick amount of free time I bust out my iPhone and play a quick

Do you get paid to drop those brand names? You can be honest.

This is actually nice. It gives me more info than the built in weather app on my iPhone.

@Chon: MagicGate 3G! Now DRM sounds even COOLER!

What happened to the good old days where men peed sitting down just so they could get in a quick game of Angry Birds on their iPhone?

Trying to take away attention from Apple?

Personally, I think QuickLook is a fine alternative to this... It'd be cool if it could somehow browse my iTunes library. Then I'd only use iTunes for syncing.

@ClemyNX: Yeah, I was actually very surprised that Apple didn't use the extra screen real estate for something like that instead of the same multitasking tray that iPhone uses. I guess it's familiar which is nice...
