That’s definitely not right... Basically every bike company saw decreased sales last year, especially brands that sell in India.

Respectfully I disagree. The report is largely a marketing buoy by MIC that cherry picks information to portray a false positive narrative.

There simply are not more motorcyclists on the road. Not only are new riders not buying new, but the volume of new street riders in the market is substantially lower than any time

You anti-dentite bastard.

More than that, I’m delighted. In Fridley Minnesota in 2010, a loud pipes shop opened about 600 feet from my house. It drew bikers from miles around. All hours of the spring summer and fall, they’d open the throttle on the 60 MPH highway adjacent to the store and half a black from my house. You couldn’t sit outside

I, for one, am completely satisfied to witness the slow demise of one of my least favorite brands.

Harley-Davidson’s Slow Decline Is Getting Hard To Watch

Nothing is more American than bloat.

Good god....that front butt...

I would put the Wrangler in that category as well, although of course it’s not a Toyota. How the heck did we go from this:

Funny how both the 4Runner and Land Cruiser started “lean” and very elemental in their approach... and ended up bloated, Elvis-like, still pretending like they haven’t ceased being what made them great originally...

In concept I agree with you but I believe their current platform architecture was designed for both ICE and electric drivetrains. That being said, one designed solely for electric would be even better, but I suppose that is what Polestar is for.

I also think I saw what looked like an Italian supercar but the badge was a crossed pair of flags. Been doing a bunch of Googling trying to figure out what it could possibly be with no luck.

He was CEO of two of the largest auto conglomerates in the world, “whacked” on at least partially political grounds, and then fled Japan in an instrument case. People I know who can’t even tell a Versa from an Altima know about this guy and are talking about him.

It mentioned Tesla and Musk so....happy?

I’m just glad I didn’t let the commentariat down.

Agreed! My car is 25 years old and has a perfect headliner, no interior creaks, and everything still works— including the factory keyless entry!

But even if the business case is clear, it’s a strange look for any company in 2020 not to even pretend to care about climate change when it comes to electric vehicles, but that also speaks to the power of government intervention, since you get the sense that if Chinese and European regulations didn’t require them to

Let’s keep making what people are actually buying?

On the diesel side, production of the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder entry engine will end and the 400-hp, six-cylinder won’t be replaced because it is too expensive and too complicated to build with its four turbos.
