The redesign has to start with the roads at least half a kilometer out. By the time a truck gets this close, it is probably already too late.

They fixed it by as much as they could from a practical and economic standpoint.  The 8" gained was from structural improvements decreasing the cross section of the rail support.  They still can’t reasonably dig the road deeper or raise the railway.

Yeah, weird thing to write on a lot of levels.

this is what I’m missing with my ad blocker shields up. huh,

Agreed. Dieselgate killed diesel, for now. As a corner marshal, I can attest to the fact that TDI tech was solid on the track and the performance advantage gallon per gallon vs petrol ensured that Audi/Peugeot was better racing than Audi vs anybody else. Audi was forced by the AOC to continually develop cars with

Like others have said, Good list Andrew and Raph but this line irked me a bit..

So do I.  But, my non-manual driving wife loves her DSG Golf Sportwagen

By the time I read everything, only about half of the car pictures had loaded, but 13(!) individual ads loaded for a pretty fancy woodchipper. So I am left thinking that a woodchipper was the most important thing of the last 15 years.

This belongs in the metaphorical hall of fame.

I figured Scary Movie was good because of the Wayans boys’ participation and not these two. As it turns out, according to Wikipedia Friedberg and Seltzer were working on another similar script as the Wayans’ were and they were added to the credits of Scary Movie even

In one sense, this is a shame, as the over-the-top pretentiousness of the F&F series has always been ripe for parody.

We almost got the Holden Ute if pontiac lasted one more year.

A facelift would’ve done wonders for that thing.  And an ad campaign.

Chevy/Holden SS. Needed the later Corvette motor [much better mileage on a % basis and/or the 10 speed auto]. V6 and AWD drive option for the large sedan and police market.

The Pontiac Vibe. It was a really good all around car that would speak to a lot of people today, but had the great misfortune of being a Pontiac when nobody wanted to buy a Pontiac. Hell, I was in the market at the time, and bought a Toyota Matrix because of the writing on the wall.

I went car shopping with a friend, and the Flex was the vehicle I recommended. It ticked all the boxes, and had a dash of cool to go along with it. He choose the big Buick SUV instead. I sometimes think people shouldn’t be allowed to make their own car buying decisions.

Chevy Volt. That car was never marketed correctly. I’d have loved to seen a 3rd gen redesign with a bigger backseat.

‘Nuff said.

The current 5th Gen 4Runner is going through that. Sales numbers keep going up and up each year. It’s basically been the same truck since 2010 with a face lift in 2014 and that’s about it.

Saab 9-5 - it died too soon.

land cruiser. so they don't drop it from the us market.
