Exactly.  I live almost walking distance to Apple HQ and I get to choose between Comcast and ATT DSL.  Internet service in the heart of Silicon Valley is garbage.  I’d imagine it’s even worse outside of the dense suburban areas...

Also, “These are people who want to work, so why not put as many of them to work as you possibly can, building out and managing the construction of an updated power grid.”

Every slot car I had flew off the track and under the couch.

Yeah, we have no problem at all building out internet infrastructure.

Have you seen how hard it is to get approval to build anything in CA, let alone a new power plant or trans lines?

Respectfully, I agree that we don’t have a choice, but I disagree on your reasoning for doing so. Humans are not going to go extinct because temps and oceans will rise; however, the truth is only mildly less grim.

If they want to provide subsidies and utilize clean energy, the goal has to be to incentivize daytime charging when they can use solar. If they incentivize workplaces to install charging stations, install them at public transit hubs and then incentivize the use with cheap charge rates.

Why is it you covered so many points about how to implement this executive order but you didn’t cover how to pay for it?

Oh I’m sure they will and I’m fairly certain my current car is my last ICE vehicle. My point was specifically to the author saying we only need 125 mile batteries because everyone only commutes 25 miles to work. That ignores every other vehicle use case.

California has a habit of importing power from its neighbors in Nevada, Idaho and Oregon when it is feeling the crunch

I see at least two issues here.

They can’t.

Just kidding, the people that fret over range anxiety will always fret over range anxiety

That was my point.

Do biden flags exist?

If it was a Biden flag everyone would be like, “A Biden flag!?!?!”

Wait a minute, so you mean to tell me that people are bent out shape because SpaceX chose a landing zone right off the coast of Florida where hundreds of thousands of people live and vacation (and own boats) and then publicly announce where the splashdown is going to occur only to get all butt hurt because a handful

Coast Guard has no authority to take anyone into custody if they are in international waters and not breaking any law.

Did you see that there was more than one boat?
