why hope for failure? shouldn’t the hope be the game turns out amazing the developers succeed?

This isn’t a “friendly reminder,” it’s stretching yourself into a pretzel to try and smear someone as a bigot.

Take a breath bud.

Way to misinterpret the message of the video (there is no ethical consumption in a capitalism society) while also dismissing the sexual and physical abusers Dunkey highlighted in said video.

That clarification is fair. My statement was intended to mean “Produces slower results than a purely numeric analysis would expect” but I can see how it might be taken to mean “Will always produce the same result slower” which is clearly untrue.  In particular, I was thinking about Chapter 3's breakdown of

Simply to help illustrate the strangeness of what you’re implying, pretend it was gamestop who decided not to sell the game, and they decided to distribute through Steam a demo until they could sell through Gamestop again. You would be in this scenario saying that Gamestop might not like someone ‘going behind their

FFXIV does this with new story updates every three months. You know how often I play.

Wait, so it’s manipulation to add value for a consumer to the product that they already paid for?

What a bad take.

I must not have played enough Hades cause I have no idea what you’re talking about. Been meaning to get back to it because it’s so straightforward, now you got me worried. I even searched for “moon shards in Hades” and came up with zilch.

you DEFINETLY need to go outside. leave the cellphone at home, i don’t care, just go touch some grass, nerd.

I don’t really agree with this take, the systems in place in BotW are definitely meant to encourage creativity and different solutions, and the survival elements were clearly never the focus (no hunger meter for example)

Counter-counterpoint: I don’t know which first book of the SA you read, but it presents a consistent message of slavery where people are beaten down and dehumanized to the point that committing suicide is considered a relief. Slavery is nearly impossible to escape, even with superhuman efforts. The main character that

It sounds terrible to say, but I really think that Sanderson taking over Wheel of Time was the best thing that could have possibly have happened to that series.

Exactly. Vegeta trains and improves himself to be better than Goku. Goku trains and improves himself to be better than Goku too. Vegeta’s always aiming at a static target, wherever Goku is when he starts, but whenever he gets there he realizes that the target’s actually been drifting upwards the whole time.

What a boring comment that doesn’t realize that these are for an engine which is demonstrating capabilities and workflows; and also thinks that games can’t have new rendering technologies AND have interesting visual looks. Apparently Stray, Ratchet and Clank, It Takes Two, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, GoW: Ragnarok, and A

Because Valve is literally calling it CS2? Who would ever think its a sequel with a name like CS2?

It’s more dev time and testing. Part of good development is weighing the potential value of adding a feature vs the potential loss of revenue of simply not adding a feature.

I remember back when Toy Story was in development and there were magazine articles and interviews saying it was a slap in the face to animators. Saying that using a computer to animate removed the soul from all animation and was not art.

Suburbs are intended to give houses enough yard space to raise kids comfortably in private spaces instead of public spaces (parks), and to let richer people separate themselves from poorer ones (white flight). They force you to buy a car as a side effect, not a design feature. It’s true that they weren’t designed to
