Robin Ventura, It is his fault. I related to him because I played infield, batted lefty and threw righty. I watched him up as a white sock and when he became a Met (I lived in CT) and was now in close proximity to me I became a Mets fan.

Ironically, my mother hated baseball while my brother and I played throughout our

I totally agree. I don’t understand why everyone has to take one side or the other. I think that the amount that certain players are asking for is absurd and won’t pan out over the length. However, the owners are making more money every year and I personally think that 6 years until you can touch the free market is

That’s a fair assessment but that also means that the Yankees should value him more. Another team wouldn’t get the same production due to their stadium set up and roster.

I’m a conservative and stuff like this sends me into a tailspin of rage. Regardless of political leaning, any reasonable person would have called this guy out for being a scumbag.

I work in marketing and we go to a trade show in Indy where I get to see my Canadian friends usually for the only time in a year. They started me on it 2 years ago and have been smuggling episodes ever since.

I couldn’t believe how good they hit off Verlander considering he seemed to be 0-2 on every hitter.

I have the same issue with QB’s extending plays and not sliding with ample time and then drawing penalties. The rules are there to protect them but a handful of guys are exploiting the good intentions of the rules.

QB’s that take advantage of that drive me nuts. The rules are to protect them and they are abusing them to gain yardage. Often times even drawing penalty yards on top of the play.

I would guarantee that any defender that lit that guy up on that play would have been called for a penalty. The enforcement on rules for signaling a fair catch are way too loose.

You beat me to this. +1

1B Playing in LF misplays a fly ball requires an entire article? Slow Newsday I guess.

Blevins looks primed for a career in mens softball.

If you enjoy laughing at the Mets you should hope that Degrom wins because it will be that much more of an embarrassment to the rest of the team.

+1 For Andrew Jones disease. As a Mets fan, it was a delight to see him seemingly fall off a cliff talent wise. As a baseball fan, it was sad to see because he was so exciting to watch early on in his career.

That’s interesting, My experience is at Home Depot hard to find employees and when you do they have to ask a different person who seems to be the only one with knowledge and there is a line of other employees and customers in line to ask him questions.
My experience with Lowe’s is super nice and helpful but maybe not

The batter’s box is in foul territory.....

That has to be the best Hr to K ratio even in baseball.

It gets better man. The best advice I received before my first kid was: “The first day is the hardest day, the first week is the hardest week, the first month is the hardest month and the first year is the hardest year” My son turned 5 two weeks ago and every bit of that was true.

I wasn’t sure what I was looking for when surfing the web today. But this comment is definitely it. Thank you for saving me hours of mindless internet scrolling. I can now go do something productive.

+1 because I like your screenname
