I think I saw that too. I believe the reason that most coaches dissuade sliding into first is the possibility of injury for a minor speed increase.

This is peak Deadspin writing. Exactly what I come here for. Bravo!
Pitching in is part of the game. Without it you have exactly happened in the next at bat. Stanton dove towards the plate and crushed a ball. You essentially want Fiers to just lay it down the middle everytime he sees Stanton the rest of his career.
That’s exactly what is going to happen. Lebron knew he needed to steal the first game in their building to have a chance. Once the Warriors turn it up its over.
Throwing at someone’s head has never been a part of “old school” baseball. Hitting someone in the ribs is.
I had been checking deadpsin to see anything written about what a great start they were having.....crickets......watching the game last night I knew they would be posted about today.
Kept checking deadspin to see if anything positive would be written about the Mets during their nice start. Watching the game last night I knew the mets would be on deadspin today.
Wait....conservatives respect women?!?!?!?!?!?!?! /s
It isn’t the speed limit that is the problem here. It’s the fact that he is driving on the wrong side of the highway.........
Do they consider you debit card to be the value of your bank account? Or even a step further do they have a valuation for credit cards.
I think the performance gap in the Indycar field is much smaller than in F1. It is an important point to note that the equipment advantage of F1 can make or break a driver as opposed to Indycar I feel a driver can give a huge advantage.

These cars are cool and for the right price I would certainly snag one. However, anything over 8k and the coolness factor is incredibly limited to me.
The first one through the wall always gets the most bloodied.
When I was younger I worked at CVS and took really good care of my 01 VW Jetta. After years of working there the car got so beat up I ended up flat blacking it with rattle cans. It was painful to do but I know I felt better in the end.
One particular time before I had flat blacked the car I came out of work to my…
Our owner has an Electron Blue one. He doesn’t drive it as much as he should.
My first car was a 94 Saturn SL1 that i’m convinced was the only top of the line model with leather interior that they ever sold. My father purchased it brand new admittedly because he loved their marketing pitch and he drove it for 8 years until he was ready to move on and sold it to me.
There are a very few kicking around. When I saw the title I assumed it was the VR to be really rare. Although to be honest the 1.8T is probably close to the rarity just not as desirable. While the 1.8T is more easily modified to be faster the noise that the VR makes is incredible.
That’s the part I got chills.
That shows that over half of the registered voters didn’t feel excited or pulled to either candidate. That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It also makes you question the “3rd party can’t win” thought process.
