Well, the problem here is that my daily commute is ~50 miles each way. A 16kWh battery should be doubled at least to be useful even with the gas support generator. This setup would get me 80% of my way to work and I'd still be using gas for 60% of my round trip commute assuming I have no where to charge it at work. …

I'll add this to my list of things to do. I'm a big fan of light painting even though I've never done it. This week's photo contest inspired me so I'm currently building as advanced a light painter as I can manage. So far it's proven to be quite expensive but with any luck the results will be cool.

@Anonymoose: Yeah, I actually opened up my TI-85 and replaced the timing capacitor to overclock it. It's just over 3x faster, doesn't hurt battery life at all as far as I can tell, and comically made pac-man unplayable. (Too fast.)
