My church has been closed and online only since the pandemic started. If they started claiming persecution and pushing to open back up, I’d be looking for a new church.

Amen to this. Grocery store employees have been hanging their asses out there every single day — some for freaking minimum wage — being in close contact with millions of both masked and non-masked customers, keeping shelves stocked. If they’re not “front line” workers, the words have no meaning.

This is one of those situations where being an actual doctor really would have come in handy.

Oh man, that was a nice morning treat. I swear, no amount of myth busting, cynical marketing, dirt digging journalism, or legit shitty behavior really tarnishes the fact that, as an entity, a force of nature, a unique cultural alchemy, the Beatles were fucking awesome.

I think their videos are fine and mostly unobjectionable, and so I generally agree with much of what you say.  But I don’t think you can turn videos of your kid playing with toys into a content machine that generates $25.5 million in revenue without a “ruthless sense of opportunism.”
