Aw, you shouldn’t friendzone yourself!

Anytime the subject of The Wall comes up, that’s the first thing that pops into my head.  With the delivery and everything.  Anyone under Gen X age has no idea what I’m talking about.

That makes it no less upsetting when you think you’re in a friendship with someone and then later learn that, no, they were only hanging out with you because they were hoping to fuck you.

I kind of agree. The onus was on both of them not to start a friendly relationship. Yes, he’s the one bound by the code of ethics, but it’s also just bad business to mix friendship with services you pay for and pretty much everyone over the age of 18 should know that by now. That he caught feelings was not the issue

Same.  I should stop using CC on comedies - it ruins every visual gag seconds beforehand.

Okay, so MAJOR SPOILER WARNING FOR THE BOOK:

Yeah, I thought we learned a lot about Doc in those few brief moments in her house. She may not have a drinking problem (though four empty bottles on the counter would suggest she does . . . unless she also makes those wine bottle lights in her spare time) but considering we see her with a drink while she knows she

Nah, I think the next episode will be us watching Beard on mushrooms, having his Alice in Wonderland moment. I’m guessing this is the second of the episodes they had to put in after getting the 12-ep order.

That they brought up the CO conflict in the same episode that Sam and Rebecca find out that they’re each other’s very hot soulmates does make me think that they’re specifically tying the two plot points together.  CO pulling out of Nigeria seems like a “too good to be true” fairytale ending, even for Ted Lasso, which

Ah, see, I disagree that we didn’t get a lot of insight into Doc Sharon in this ep. I saw a ton of details that shaded her in as a character - she’s actually kind of mean to strangers, Ted is bothering her much more than she’s let on, she drinks too much and she seems kind of lonely. She had no one to come pick her up

Yeah, that bugged me.  It’s fine if partners have certain aspects of domestic life that are “theirs” to handle, but you also don’t get to blame your partner for overlooking something when you have perfectly fine eyes and could have looked at yourself.

I hope life improves for you! And that your lungs cooperate. I am lucky (??) to be deathly allergic to all steroids, which is a real problem as an asthmatic, but it does mean that I just wheeze all the time and rely too heavily on my inhalers. But they don’t make me depressed!

I am baffled, BAFFLED, they’ve chosen to give Masha a cherubic six year old daughter who died in a tragic but commonplace accident rather than what happens in the book. Masha’s daughter being hit by a car in front of her is awful, but it is mostly unpreventable - other than not having a helmet on her kid, there was

I have always assumed the 10 leftover minutes are for my therapist to write down notes about how fucked up I am.

I read it the same way. Nate is mad that he struggled up the ladder and that Will is not having to do the same. The whole point, of course, is that the team learned from Nate and Ted that the kit man is an important job, often has insights that others can’t share, and that the person in the job should be respected.

I have known many a Ted in my life (cheerful, helpful, giving) who nonetheless hold a similar view of therapy. “I’m paying this person so they can’t possibly care about me; I’m just a number to them.” It’s all part of the denial. I was glad that Sharon called him out on that AND told him that it hurt her feelings. I

The new law in Texas is . . . depressing. I keep wanting to get mad but all I can think is “of fucking course. We don’t get nice things.” (Or in this case, the very general and inalienable right to our own bodies.)

I’m a sucker and a half, so I would just grin and bear it, then slowly die of the poison of resentment for many years.

I’m super looking forward to this.  I thought the show only got better in the second season (and I particularly loved Aimee’s storyline and how carefully it was dealt with) and I’m really excited to spend more time with this group of yahoos.  Plus, live is never better than when Gillian Anderson is on my screen.
