Wow. You are full of cheer. Sounds like you really need this whole Xbox thing to work out to bring a little sunshine into your life.

I understand. I don't agree that you have to have been personally burned to be wary though. MS has shown, per my last post, that they are willing to build a shoddy product and put it out there for a premium price as long as they can make a profit on what they are doing. They knew the design would be trouble and pushed…
Nope, but I have mastered sarcasm. I am hoping, based on your post, that you have too.
I feel like I am dealing with MS representatives. If that "way" involves paying a licensing fee, then screw it. You are defending a big company that doesn't care about you. They had plenty of opportunity to clear things up by saying exactly what they plan to do, but declined. They don't know what they are going to do,…
MS has said nothing like that. You should link the quote from MS that says that. You would solve a lot of problems. I will go get a snack and wait.
If your box is only 5 years old, you didn't get a launch system. My closest friends, 5 people, and I suffered through ONE DOZEN RRODs. We were not an outlier. That is ridiculous. The design flaw was known, but cost/benefit analysis said go with it who cares? That is wrong. You should be on the side of the consumer…
I'm thinking different time zones and teh maths is hard.
I am surprised that no one has mentioned RROD. I paid $1000 dollars to have 360 day one because i had to get a bundle to do so. I burned through 4 boxes before the redesign eliminated the issue. Why does anyone want one of these day 1 anyhow? The rest of the complaints are gravy on the "don't want".
This is not a PC. This is about expectations. I expect to own a physical copy of a game I buy for a console, and can then do what I want with it. They aren't meeting my expectations, so I don't like their product. This isn't about blind loyalty to a brand, because I am not foolish enough to think a video game company…
Well I know I was begging for draconian DRM that eliminates my ability to buy, sell, lend, trade, and own my games. I had much rather license them instead and never own what I pay for.
You are burying your head in the sand over this one. Microsoft is burying the Xbox brand. Maybe you could get adjacent plots.
They do not provide me with anything. Are you referencing servers? So what? They make money off the initial sale to support that, and if that original buyer isn't playing anymore then guess what? The cost formula is STILL THE SAME for the number of people using the servers in question. Are you referencing DLC? You pay…
Probably be a good place to try some games that wouldn't get any love otherwise. Good for you!
Wow. You need a nap.
Agreed. I see this fee getting out of hand quickly.
You sound defensive. You should quit team Xbox and join team video game consumer. We root for the manufacturers and publishers who don't stick it in us dry.
I don't get this either. Everyone hates WiiU, but it actually is a GAME console. Go figure.
If publisher's decide to do this it is different. One, you can boycott the game rather than the console. Two, it doesn't prevent me from trading my games in to buy other games. Three, I am not punished for wanting to play my game on multiple accounts with my family.
I disagree. Enjoy your new Xbox.
They can put whatever stupid apps they want on the box as long as I can buy used games, rent games, sell the games I bought and am tired of, share games in the same house with my wife and daughter who have different accounts, and borrow/lend games to my friends.
