For all of those who travel between Canada, Mexico and/or the US especially, strongly consider getting NEXUS Cards (http://getnexus.com - BC/WA Page but has links that applies to all). It includes use of TSA Pre (see eligibility question here) and does a great deal more for $50 for 5 years. Summed up, it's TSA Pre +

To be fair, it looks like Wikipedia, promiscuous harlot that it is, also created it's own baby with itself along the same lines, Wikivoyage: http://wikivoyage.org

Just to be clear, only the sender needs Glympse installed. One of the large advantages is that the receiver does not require Glympse installed, it will work just fine on a modern smartphone or desktop browser. Of course, if that receiver wishes to send their own location, then you need to install it.

I hate to say it as I like BBM, but there were some problematic flaws in the Android version (high memory usage key among them) that meant I had to uninstall them. That said, BBM is near perfect in design when it comes to being a messenger service. I can say it's one thing I really miss from BlackBerry days.

If anyone is still in the "SEE ID" camp, then sign your card AND write "see ID" next to it. Granted, it will probably just make you feel better and not much else. I agree with this article.

Pretty sure that packed luggage is not illegal.

And honestly, that makes it the strongest device I've seen yet. I really don't want to pick between the two (that seem to be the strongest two at least) as no one protocol yet makes all the devices I really want (btw, I refuse to use the word "need" here... this is entirely an exercise of wanting things).

Also, the app

Am I the only one who has some stuff just ready to go at all times? One of my bags is prepacked with:

Tremendous is more a measure of how pleased I am. I subjectively observed:
* Slightly (1-2sec) faster boot
* Typically faster and smoother menu interactions
* Lower chance of buffering (although this might have been down to software changes)
* Faster load times - I believe this is because the RPi puts it's network

A USB Flash Drive to install the OS on

OF COURSE. I dial back a lot of stuff that I do in my personal life. I swear less, pick my topics to talk about (no where near as much personal stuff discussed) and am consciously attempting to be more polite.

I agree with what others have said about this painful. It's sad to say goodbye but the WRT-54G series are now reaching their end of thier lives. I had my router put to sleep by the vet... It was the kindest thing to do. I bought myself a nighthawk to fill the hole in my life and now I only happy memories.

Have one of these and it's working like a champ. DD-WRT compatible and the range is excellent. Also, Netgear did a good job on the stock firmware so credit where credit is due on that one.

Alternatively you could head over to Slice and easily learn how to make them yourself for less than $2/pizza for MUCH better results with no rubbish in them: http://slice.seriouseats.com

I have one and I don't believe it can.

I do this with one change, I use Crashplan on the NAS (actually an old laptop) to back up everything at night/when I'm out. That includes backing up the Dropbox folder to Crashplan.

Also, for the person with the 1 minute locking laptop, also check screensaver settings? Possibly your screensaver is set to 1 minute and also to ask you for your password when you log back in. Outside guess though as you didn't mention the screensaver.
EDIT: Sorry, got to the point of the podcast where Jake suggested

Some alternatives to the Monoprice headphones (with Velour ear pads) were mentioned, does anyone have a link to those? Please and Thank You.

Seems HSBC Canada were ahead of them, and cancelled the card, issued a new PIN and new card with new and distinct number
