That is a great question. Thank you for asking.

Or because she’s at the *Met Gala* surrounded by exclusively famous, wealthy, and/or exceptonal people and she just...didn’t register to him?
The odd part is, if he really believes that garbage why does the rest of Japanese society expect women to cook everything else? Have sushi chefs figured out something in biology no one else in the world has identified? He should write a scientific paper.
Every dude I’ve ever shared a bed with will tell you that my core temperature is much lower than theirs.
I'm confused because I'm fucking freezing. Women are supposed to be warmer?
The touch of a good woman can burn almost anyone.
That is not true, cause bullets do go through people sometimes and get others. I am not saying this is what happened here, but saying that any accidental shooting disqualifies a police officer is a broad statement.
Dunno. I voted for Obama and sometimes I wonder wtf he's doing so many snl tv show type of appearances.
I made a similar comment in the greys on Gawker yesterday. Why can families call for an armed police response but not for a social worker or mental health professional? The people I know who work within the foster care system certainly know how to deescalate tense and possibly violent situations without killing anyone.
My friend has an anxiety disorder and she can get a bit shaky during situations like this. The first time she got pulled over it happened, and they used it as an excuse to tear apart her car claiming they smelled weed when she couldn’t give a “good enough” explination on her shaking.
They found nothing and let her go…
God, that makes me sick. I’ve never in my life hesitated to call the cops or feared anything worse than a ticket when pulled over. I am so sorry that this kind of disgusting disparity is so prevalent in this fucking country. No one should fear the peace officers put on the streets to protect the people. It’s so fucked…
This is going to sound odd but I wonder how many of these fatal confrontations would have ended without a fatality if cops used their shields more and guns less. Yes, this kid had a baseball bat that can do some serious damage and even be fatal. However, if half a dozen or more cops with shields encircled him and…
And, hey, if they’re in a mood that day, they can always just use your nervousness about the possibility of them killing you for no reason as a fucking excuse to get away with killing you.
Is it time to invent some new source of mental health emergency assistance? A specific number you can call for a new hybrid mental health/armed security response unit that has specific training on deescalation and the requisite tools to subdue and detain.
No doubt.
exactly. what happened to “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”? except when it’s a cop, I guess?
“Upon arrival, officers were confronted by a combative subject resulting in the discharging of the officer’s weapon, fatally wounding two individuals.”
Indeed. This poor woman is dead because she was trying to open the door for police. They just shot first. Abhorrent policing policies must be changed.
A+ for use of the passive voice, Chicago police. “The police shot and killed a mentally ill teenager and an unrelated woman” sounds a lot worse than “the accidental discharging of the officer’s weapon, resulting in the fatal wounding of two individuals.” Man, I hate it when my weapon just spontaneously discharges,…
Until shoot-first-and-ask-questions-never has actual consequences, this shit is just going to keep happening. Psychopaths don’t change.
