That is such a good opening line, Barry
That is such a good opening line, Barry
I think you’re taking this too literal. I don’t think it’s as much about golf as it is about people liking to point out that he is a blatant hypocrite.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh haha ok thanks
Can I ask you something? I used to see that response all the time over the internet and I feel like an idiot for not knowing what it means - I’ve even googled it a few times to no avail. What does “.” mean in a response to someone?
Never forget!............unless you want to use a lazy analogy online!
1) Can you make links open up in new tabs instead of jumping to the page?
You’re not getting enough credit for this
Ha!
Also, that’s a tin in his other pocket, right? I wonder what he chews...
what?
Way to criticize people for not understanding nuance with an argument void of nuance.
This is correct.
I heard about the main article that wikipedia talks about. I haven’t read it and I know it hasn’t been peer reviewed so I just don’t know what to say about it yet. Just because there is research to back it up doesn’t mean it’s good quality. But again, I haven’t seen it so I don’t know.
I think you make some good points, but controlling for the difficulty of the shot is definitely not something that all studies overlook. Also, I find it hard to believe defenses play a prolific shooter like Steph Curry any differently throughout the game. There are probably specific situations where they can make it…
Absolutely
I think that can only make sense if you think the 2 shots a game average difference from last year is the difference between Curry being able to shoot his way out of a slump and not being able to.
There is plenty of research that examine the hot hand fallacy that fans and commentators typically fall victim of. They pretty much all conclude that there is no evidence of players being more likely to hit a shot after a string of makes than after misses.
I don’t think that argument makes sense given his shot attempts are right in line with what he has been doing since 2012.
To be fair, it was a lot of fun watching him that year.
+1 Never knowing what she’s doing
