As a fellow Michigander, I’ve always thought Seger’s blue-collar nostalgia rock was basically Springsteen-lite if Springsteen meant Glory Days as a found remembrance of high school and My Hometown as a statement about local pride.

My wife deals with mental health issues so this kind of armchair diagnosis/excuse making really chaps my ass. Pete Davidson said it best: Just because you’re mentally ill doesn’t mean you have to be a dick.

I mean, the Kardashian clan made their own church--with a defrocked minister who lost his pulpit for a sex scandal and was working at Starbucks--as a tax shelter so I’m sure they’re all in on West’s religious racketeering here.

If I recall, Remo from Casino was essentially Tony Accardo. Probably the most powerful mobster in the country for 30-40 years.

I really enjoy when people employ Marxist thinking to defend multibillion dollar international corporations.

Yes, exactly. I’m not a comic book movie fan because I’ve never been into comic books but I was honestly shocked Black Panther wasn’t the consensus Best Picture winner at the Oscars because, in addition to being an audience favorite and a critical darling, its legacy likely will include changing the calculous in

I think this will be a TLC show very soon.

I don’t think his point is that he doesn’t care for comic book movies and neither should you. His point is Hollywood studios churns out remakes/reboots/retelling of the same comic books movies over and over and over again. It’s lazy, and in so much as it comes at the expense of other filmmaking/storytelling

Amazing.

A half-assed joke in a kids movie is a little different than ignoring that Joe Jackson was conscious after 1920 is kind of a major plot flaw in the Most Serious Baseball Movie ever.

Among the many things wrong with Field of Dreams, the MLB started playing night games in 1935. Briggs/Tigers Stadium was the last non-Wrigley ballpark to add lights and the did it in 1948. Joe Jackson died in 1951.

Your actual argument is that it is invalid to have sexual anatomy affect one’s sexual attraction. You aren’t as deep as you think you are.

I can say as an overweight person that not being sexually attracted to overweight people is perfectly valid. Individuals are allowed to be attracted to whomever they wish for whatever reasons that fuel their attractions. Individual sexual attraction is not a social justice issue.

I agree. It’s a remarkably stupid question. My only point is that when it is asked, it is remarkably easy to answer this stupid question in a way that respects an individual’s right to be attracted to whomever they are attracted to and stand up for the principle that all people deserve human rights.

if you go out of your way to categorically state that you cannot find trans women to be attractive, based on an erroneous assumption that all trans women have penises, then it makes sense that some people are gonna look at you askew.

This whole “but she has a penis so is she really a she?” thing is so dumb.

People being outraged on behalf of Kardashian here are like the bigots in the 1970s who would write to Carrol O’Connor about how much they liked Archie Bunker. These aren’t real people. They’re characters on a tv show.

86ing Splinter for business reasons is fine. That is to say, things like this happen, but it used to be that when the Gawker/Gizmodo/WhateverItsCalledNow folks would write about it when they made a move like this. The lack of acknowledgement that Splinter is no more is troubling to me as a customer. Somehow I don’t

The XFL literally tried that.

According to the Trumpettes, he’s always been a perfect gentlemen and never tried anything fresh with them.
