To me, the dog issue is neither here nor there; your response to it, on the other hand, is hugely telling.

I hate it when people do this. “I had a bad experience with a dog when I was five, so I can never be around them again.” “My dad forced me to go in the pool before I was ready, so water is a no go for the rest of my life.” “A masked gorilla scared me at Halloween as a toddler, so to this day I keep trick-or-treaters

Yeah, seriously. “She won’t get rid of her two dogs she loves, she has a dog addiction.” Buddy.

Give the kids benadryl.

The constitution just says we can have guns.

The “Ivanka suggested Planned Parenthood stop providing abortions on return for not having Republicans block it from receiving federal funds” story is such a perfect encapsulation of their worldview and incompetence. It tells the whole story, and we don’t need any more.

I think a lot of the tension we feel with cultural appropriation can be mollified if we clarify that cultural appropriation isn’t intended to stop anyone from taking influence from anything that a culture has ever used. It’s more restrained.

There’s a fine line between inspiration and exploitation and most people either don’t care or don’t notice when they cross that line.

Agreed, 100%. Yet, fairly active comment section. But, then again, this is just one more reason we suffer from rampant anti-intellectualism and willful ignorance in this country.

“Are people really this illiterate of how the laws work?”

As a corporate attorney, that’s a patently foolish statement. So, if the directors and/or officers are misusing company funds, breaching their fiduciary duty, or any other action that amounts to a cognizable claim, shareholders shouldn’t sue the corporation to protect their investments and the corporation?

I prefer to think she's serious, and although I liked her before, I now love her. This movie is beyond terrible. People who genuinely like this movie are just lame people. The end.
