I think if we think more broadly past this specific case, it is pretty clear to see that violence, shooting, raping, and a whole host of other bad things seem to swing to the side of the folks carrying around a penis.

Obviously, it is a patriarchal society issue, but the “boys will be boys” crap that parents teach their kids can start to be addressed on a family by family basis.
