YES ! hahahaha - we were given a homework assignment that we had to present in front of the class and I fucking played a Mariah Carey song in front of the the whole goddamn class. I had no idea what a dork I was.

ahahahah in high school I used a Mariah Carey song ( Hero, I think?) in a poignant moment to demonstrate how I felt about strongly about... something. Obviously I felt very strongly about it because I can’t even remember what it was, but boy do I remember identifying with Mariah. It was 2001.

“You’re in my prayers” if you want an overt fuck you. “You know your family and you are in my prayers as always. If you need anything at let me know. I’m here for you.”

That is NOT embarrassing! As someone who taught college level literature and writing for several years, I am of the firm opinion that just about anything is worthy of analysis so long as you can develop a strong argument. And if you earned a 98, you clearly did! Bravo!

OK with this and the death of the amazing Edward Albee I want to see Martha play Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Also, here’s a few gifs of my favorite moments. I can’t find the one I want of Sterling K. Brown, which is annoying me.

We love our BLESS her heart. You think the southern version is shady? We barely hit bless her on the shade. The non southern socialites? Bless is three syllables. Bllllllllesssssssssssss her!

Such a great night for queer women at the Emmys

I want to get drinks with her and Hillary and Meryl.

While I would have loved to see Holland Taylor’s reaction, it was so boss that she brought Marcia Clark for this.

Leslie Jones is a goddamn treasure. “I just wanted to feel beautiful, y’all!”

Oh bugger! The off the shoulder trend would have been hard enough to shop around, but anything with a corset built in is medieval torture!!! I hope you found something amazing for all the hassle you’ll have gone through!

I feel you. I’m in a teeny studio in Tiburon at $2k a month that goes up another $200 every year.

Booooooring. Sportsball is so boring. Halftime shows, too.

Thank you! *high fives* This photo is somewhat flattering, I have a lordosis and a kyphosis as well (brought by the the joy of Ehlers-Danlos), but am lucky in that whilst they very uncomfortable at times, they’re pretty mild so haven’t had to suffer surgery or a brace.

It is good to have some miles between yourself and the crazy. I know that some of my friends actually save money to stay in a hotel to avoid crazy parent situations, and to have crazy parents stay in a B+B when they come to visit. The struggle is real.

But you totally can make her stay in a hotel! It will be unpleasant to set the rule, but so worth it in the end. My father stays with us (they are divorced) when he visits, but my brother and mother stay in a hotel. Being a houseguest is a privilege, not a right, and our visits are more pleasant this way. Avoiding

Oh, but you can.

My younger self’s crush on Christian Slater continues. (I saw him on Mr. Robot and he’s still got it)

Don’t feel too badly. Everyone has their pretentious and unaware phase. Mine was especially unaware. No one’s proud of it, but unfortunately, no escapes it, either.
