I have a used ex rental Tesla that did 95% of it’s charging on DCFCs (scan my Tesla). After 120k miles of DCFC it has a grand total of 7% battery degradation. Stop fear mongering about DCFC. It’s a non issue.

They were popular and sold a bunch but those that knew, the MKI MR2 was a better car in every way. Then in 1988 when the supercharged MKI was released it was over for the Fiero.  I will say, the GT looks better than the MKI MR2 to a current set of eyes.

Most people don’t give a shit about the full vehicle history on a appliance bin car, especially on one that usually doesn’t have too many issues in a year or two... Even if you used DC fast chargers the entire time, the battery won’t degrade that much after a year or two...

You may not want to buy it though. May be better off going to buy something used at the end for a bargain, or if the leases are still as good as they are now, you may be happy to lease again.

Yep, at the time they were definitely cool, and for the mid-80s they were generally viewed as good (if intentionally underpowered) cars. As they article notes, they suffered under the GM pecking order that mandated not competing with anything above them (Corvette, Camaro/Firebird).
