Plug-ins are great for most people’s daily driving, but in a lot of cases (Toyota’s lineup gives pretty good apples-to-apples comparisons) the payback period versus a standard takes a few years because the regular hybrids are already a big fuel savings. But for a single vehicle household that wants an EV, it’s a great

They determined that a newborn would take up most of the time and energy they intended on giving the puppy. Perhaps their planning was lacking, but they took quick steps to do what was best for the puppy. So many dogs (well, pets in general) are given up down the road after a year of neglect.

I’m with you, continuing to breed dogs that are guaranteed to have health issues should be considered animal cruelty.

When they release the new operating system it’s going to slow it way down anyway. And don’t bother with the damage protection, that’s a scam.

The S2000 was a $35k car in 2009. Not apples to apples.

I don’t need to imagine, I live in the US

I just can’t wrap my head around why anyone would listen to these fucking clowns or even think about giving them the attention they crave. Oh, right, because half the country is racist/sexist pricks and they will listen to any racist prick that echoes their sentiments.

I chalk it up to a lack of experience

I think it pretty much did if GM hoped to stay relevant in their “we don’t want to sell cars anymore” era. It’s cheap for a crossover, but without Sonics and Cruzes to get people in the door and into the brand (or for an upsell), these need to be pretty good. And just going through their small CUV portfolio and making

It would be cool to own a grand touring Jag, for sure. But ND.

Geico has always been significantly cheaper than anyone else for me on cars, while they couldn’t touch Allstate on motorcycle insurance.

If they can get them on the lots and then offer reasonable lease rates that can then take advantage of the $7500 tax credit, they are going to have a hard time keeping them on the lot.  (ideally with that available on purchases too, but they’re a long way from that being a possibility unless the regs change)

$780 for 6 months with collision, comprehensive, and glass coverage. 3 vehicles with 2 drivers. In a city (but admittedly a nicer neighborhood). NYC would surely be more.

That average is surely not normalized for the average car value in those states. New York insurance isn’t particularly cheap, but that number must be bolstered heavily by the average vehicle being worth more. I had 3 vehicles with good coverage on my policy (though none were brand new and in the realm of an “Average”

I did 4 track days with my FRS. A few with my tC before that. Had a great time with just some sticky summer tires (which I used all summer, not just for the track day and got about 25k miles out of on the FRS, not bad for a 140 treadwear tire) and upgraded brake pads (which lasted about 30k miles, pretty similar to

Yeah, any hot-hatch is meant to be a fun daily driver at it’s core. That’s why they generally (and by that I mean “used to”) release more hard core track-pack versions to add in the options that would make it a better track car and undoubtable ruin it for most people as a daily.

I also spent many years in highschool/college working at a carwash but doing the interior cleanings. So I can not only smell that picture, I can smell what the vacuum smelled like when you emptied it and what those matts smelled like when you started scrubbing them.

What’s the best picture of an exotic car in the color of your childhood home?

It took a lot of scrolling down to get to the point where someone finally said “I allowed children in my car”. Between siblings and step-siblings I have 12 nieces and nephews. I have seen a lot kids puke in cars, and I’ve seen a lot of old sippy cups of milk baking in the cupholder during the Arizona summer. As

That was my thought - for someone who has an old Colt Turbo (which must be a VERY small number of people) this looks like a great parts car with some solid sheetmetal and likely decent drivetrain spares.
