That’s the hard part I have with all this. I don’t care about twitter as a platform, and I think one less social media platform is probably a plus. And it’s fun watching Elon fuck something up so badly, when he literally could have walked in and done nothing and they would have kept going.

I don’t really know that the numbers are as simple as they are shown here, but can you imagine the synergies with Rivian toward truck development going forward and competing with the electrics from GM and Ford? Holy fuck-up, Batman

Something is wrong with your Suzuki slide. Either it should read 2.5 trillion yen, or Suzuki is worth very little and could be bought with his pocket change.

That’s the obvious question, but who the hell knows.

I remember a few years back taking a look at the market after watching some Top Gear episode where they discussed De Tomaso. It was wild how cheap they were.

I don’t see them bringing back the V, especially with all the hybrid crossover offerings now. But it would be great if they did.

I don’t know what the difference is between a $90k Pantera and a $140k and a $190k Pantera. The prices in a quick google search are all over the place.

To extrapolate on that a little (and sorry for being late to the conversation) the JD power folks point out that people who go out of their way to get cars with specific features (performance cars, tech heavy cars, etc) are far more forgiving of issues unrelated to why they bought the car AND ok with tradeoffs related

Yeah, it’s pretty clean for a ‘96 but not actually that clean. 20k miles isn’t nothing (enough that between that and storage it needed a respray), and for a daily driver who the hell cares on a car that’s known to be good for 200k?

Lol, I think you just reminded me that Infinity as a brand was still a thing

I think that’s a part of this that has (maybe?) been swept under the rug. How many people got credits for flights that expired after a year or 18 months and then lost them? I lost a portion of a Southwest credit when it expired. I rebooked and used some of it, but the new flight was way less than the old one so I

I think it’s a combination of factors

A quick google search turned a little less quick, and I’m not 100% of the result, but I think the AC is an R12 system in ‘88. So “a little AC work” should be assumed to be an R134 conversion, but it seems like there are reasonably priced kits for that and it’s not something that needs to be done right away.

I agree that it seems like Tesla isn’t at fault, but I think something remains of a Tesla related story here.

He’s going to get taxed at 10% of what we are, and then continue to complain that he pays the most taxes of anyone ever in history

I think it would be really really hard to hit north of 7. Between the speed and that exhaust note....

I’m with you on most of that. It’s an awesome car and the updated suspension and brakes will keep up with that glorious engine. It’s for sale in Beverly Hills, so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that the soft top works well.

“I know what it’s worth”

I didn’t think about a charging break, that’s a good point.

And if I need to see the screen of be seen, and I pull over, why don’t I just use my phone? Then I can resume my trip whenever I want.
