Howl's Moving Castle - amazing! In fact, the entire series (there are two more books after that) is great, particularly the third book.

Dude. Update yourself on these issues before you go mouthing off and generalising about "the people in Australia". You don't speak for me, and you don't speak for everyone. You speak for you, and you have just proven how misinformed you are.
Feminine flesh. It gets them all.
Hey now - I watch Firefly and Dr Who *with* my boyfriend. That makes his options while I'm away... ah. Well, then.
And, of course, that has nothing to do with the married man as well, does it....
I thought she did allow a conscience vote, and that it was Abbott who didn't allow his party (the Liberals) a conscience vote on the bill?
Don't speak for all Australians, because you're wrong. And a lot more people would prefer her to Tony Abbott, for reasons that she raises in her speech (ie, he's a misogynist).
Julia Gillard has copped more than enough sexist, misogynistic crap in her time as Prime Minister. One radio shock-jock has spent the better part of a year calling for her to be put in a chaff bag and "thrown out to sea" (yes, calling for us to drown the PM on national radio is a legitimate past time here,…
Gweneth Paltrow starts *everything*. Including the weird baby-names trend (although that's slightly less life threatening and scary).
Bats and pigs, man. Fuck those bats and those pigs.
I'll quite happily do it for you, if you like :) - this waste of money absolutely infuriates me!
Wait, wait, wait. Am I the only person concerned about how she *fixed* that zip?!
YES. Absolutely! I loved these books - strong female protagonists, zombies, magical bells - what more could a tv series want?
Thank god - I'm not alone! I have no logical explanation for why I actually do this - I just really dislike waking up at an exact time, and would prefer a slightly odd version of it. Are you similar?
I always set my alarm to a strange time. If I have to wake up at around 7:00am, I'll set it to something like 6:56, or 7:03. For some reason, I really don't like setting the alarm to the *exact* time I need to be awake at.
I'd be even more interested about how the implant in a woman's arm prevents pregnancy, to be honest. How does something in your arm affect everything else?
I'm torn between wanting to say the classic British "Cheerio, ol' chap!" and the Australian "no wuckers" here as a sign off (I'm Australian, too)
But hey, the one woman you know STILL doesn't count as "all the women in Europe that are potentially qualified". Just because you know one woman that doesn't want to do it, that doesn't immediately equate to NO ONE with two X chromosomes wanting to have a position on the board.
Funnily enough, she's actually Australian: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Wilson (although she is doing a pretty decent British accent here!)
That's a fascinating article - I knew this stuff existed, but not on such a scale. As I teach in Australia, I would like to think that this happens less often here. But as the article says, I have also come across a few pieces of moderately good work from students who can barely speak the language. This pieces did…
