Or the V10 diesel

Can you repurpose one of those aftermarket back-up cameras to serve as your shotgun rider? Mount the camera facing forward on the left wing mirror, put the monitor over by the left A-pillar?

There has not been one single moment when I’ve looked at my Model 3 and thought “hey, wouldn’t this car be better and or safer if I had to visit my local dealer more?”

Like the local BMW dealer who fucked up the valve cover gasket during a cam service and caused the car to spew oil all over the road. Or the local VW

I don’t dislike these as much as I used to, but I still dislike them a lot.

Owners of other 27 year old 2nd gen Explorers?

I mean, I get the point that this thing isn’t worth much, but a car--particularly an SUV with AWD--in decent, running shape is worth 2K all day long.

I hope the subhed was: “Merrimac, to Monitor: ‘To trap him, I will become him’

Ha ha probably.  I learned to drive on one.  I loved those dumb things.

Oooh, an aftermarket top with windows like the Bronco II would be really cool.

Yeah that looks really cool.  Low-spec with steel wheels, a convertible top, and a 7 speed manual, please.

I can’t wait to see the shorty two-door.

IKR

Hm. Well, I guess I can stop looking at overpriced imported W463s now. Honestly, if I can get a two door version of this with a stick....that’s very, very compelling.

It’s interesting that Ford hasn’t tried to contact Jalopnik about this...or have they?

The initial post reads: ‘I saw the four door and two door mid size. ITS EPIC!!! Updated with photo of 4 door Bronco.’

Or--and hear me out here--the company could not do that, and instead keep one of the most well-known logos just as it is.  If they need it “flat,” wtf is wrong with going back to the 1963 version?  That’s the version that was on all of the good BMWs, anyway.

Ah, the last of the V10 Interceptors.

Also to cut costs NASCAR will now use spec PRV V6s.

I am here for the technoplaid interior. HERE FOR IT.

Keep in mind that the car that replaced this was the ‘86 Ford Taurus, which was stunningly modern at the time and really was a no bullshit, world class car.  The Big 3 have had a lot of ups and downs, but it’s not fair to call this evidence of them giving up.
