What an awesome time in alternative music history! Get a bunch of fringe & up-n-coming artists to record a semi cohesive compilation album, toss in one established act to be the single (Ramones: Spider-Man) and hope to sell 100k copies.

The hilarious part is that the whole chase was conceived as an act of subversive comedy. It was meant to be a riff on “The French Connection” & “Bullitt”.

I love this stuff. Whenever I get into a spat of College ball V. NBA, I point to these sort of plays - so insanely athletic & creative that you have to take a step back and respect the majesty of the human machine in peak form.

BOO!!!! Solo served it’s purpose. Not great. but it was light fan service. On par with ROTJ.

That was my biggest beef with TLJ. I left feeling like there was nothing compelling me back to my chair beyond: how will the resistance will magically rebuild itself?

1st Gen Vipers are basically built to be displayed and not driven anyway. I had the chance to take one out for a few laps. The first 50 yards were exhilarating, everything after, and by that I mean turns, braking and such, was frustrating. It’s really designed to look pretty and do little else than go fast in a line.

I realize that there are 10 people in Wyoming and they all have to take turns being senator, but, c’mon...they couldn’t skip over this dolt?

How will they pay the replacements? I can’t imagine their are thousands of out of work folks at the ready to take a job that pay zero for the immediate term. 

It kills me that he’s such an idiot that he missed the obvious grift: create a non-profit with the sole aim of providing work to staff furloughed by the shut-down, provide the WH kitchen staff with temporary paid work at the Trump Hotel, cater the event with Trump Hotel, have them charge some insane transportation and…

I want this to be good.....but....ooof that dialogue is wooden & nothing in the action scenes I’ve seen so far hold my attention. 

They’ll just side-step it by declaring themselves “entertainment” and reslot themselves on cable boxes between FX & FXX.

Losing the CT6 PHEV was a kick in the nuts. GM’s electrification program has always felt half-assed and seeing that car at the autoshow I felt like they finally had a play that would work: using Voltec as another power train option across the portfolio. I was planning on keeping my Volt for another 2 years and moving…
