A huge factor you’re not considering is resale. Before the covid/chip madness stuck the used truck market two year old Tundra’s were selling near what they went for new. While buyers think twice about buying a Ford at 100k miles or a Ram at any miles, no one batts and eye at a Tundra with 150k on the clock.

They will park them just fine thanks to parking sensors and 360 cameras. Just like everyone else parks their behemoth trucks and SUV’s.

I highly doubt he cares if he drove a 15 year old GTI.

The problem is he bought a MK5, which is generally terrible. His budget will allow him to get a nice MK6 which is much more reliable.

Rattle traps, yes. But in stock form they are pretty bullet proof. Finding a stock 10 year old WRX is going to be........challenging.

This is a great option but a autotempest search only shows 3 in the country for under 10k and they all look pretty worked.

Chicago? You need a WRX. Will it be clapped out for 10k? Probably.

I’m probably in the minority but I’m quite comfortable driving all day only stopping for fuel (using those stops to also get something to eat and use the restroom). My car has a range of right around 400 miles. Point being, range is such a big deal in an EV because it is currently a hassle/time suck to charge them.

Dope, good on them. Cut 100k off the price and I’d be a buyer.

It’s much different when the “fill up” is a 45 minute recharge vs a 5 minute stop for fuel.

Wow, $500 bucks after spending probably double that in a hotel for a week. Gee, thanks Ford.

Not trying to throw shade but for a mere $10 more you can get high quality name brand synthetic oil (Mobil 1 or Castrol) and a WIX filter for less than $30 and stretch your OCI out to 5-6k miles, saving money and the environment. Not saying you should do this in your fleet of 4L Jeeps that will happily run on 5 year

I dig the green but woof woof this thing is ugly. Won’t stop them from selling like hot cakes though.

I drove a Highlander over the weekend that I would consider under powered. Listening to it drop two gears and hum along at 4500 RPM whenever I encountered a 1% grade was infuriating. Torque is important, and small Toyota engines don’t have any.

If a baby is in the works scrap all those idea’s and save up a little more skrilla for a Rav4 hybrid. Anything smaller is going to be a no go with a car seat and any amount of stuff.

I like that 15m wide circuits are considered narrow in F1 land.

40% seems pretty good if that’s off of normal pre COVID production numbers.

I’m a little surprised the XT5 outperforms the RDX. I looked at every car on this list that’s available in the states when I bought my SQ5 and the Cadillac was firmly in last place. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it’s cheaper than any of it’s competition.

It’s hard to feel bad for Cadillac. The reason American’s switched to German brands for their luxury needs is because US Auto manufacturers spent decades making terrible cars. Once you see the Bavarian light, there’s little reason to come back.

The 300 TD Wagons will be roaming the earth long after the nuclear armageddon.
