I love that a company fresh out of bankruptcy can still have a “take it or leave it mentality”. When supply catches up to demand, as it always does, they will once again be up shit creek without a paddle. Then they will pucker up and ask for a bailout funded by the very people they wronged. God bless America.
The obvious answer is a Crown Vic. Easy to work on, can be sort of fast, and the parts are basically free.
I’ve been hunting for a year or two old truck for a few months. It is now easier and cheaper to source a new one (which is no small feat) than it is to purchase a used one. Most of the dealers in my area are selling at MSRP, while there are literal bidding wars going on for private sale used ones.
Or, you know, just transport them out as fireworks? Like most other explosives they’re really quite hard to detonate on accident. Here in Phoenix the fireworks vendors store them in metal shipping containers, in the middle of the desert.
Things high is salt and fat will kill us too, eventually. A hot dog or two once a year isn’t going to do anything to your dog, unless it swallows it whole and chokes.
DT said the other day that his budgets are usually in the 3 figure range. So the most you’re getting out of him is $999.
No 4 cylinder made by VW in the past 20 years is even remotely as reliable or easy to maintain as it’s Japanese equivalent. The FSI ate cam followers, the TSI had the failing timing chain tensioners and water pumps (for which there was a class action lawsuit for both). All of which would cost a fortune to replace (the…
Who would’ve thought we’d live in a world where people were gladly paying sticker for a Nissan Rogue.
That’s a great idea. When they are about to get shot they can kindly ask the shooter to wait while they retrieve their firearm. Only then can a 19th century style duel commence.
I own a CPO SQ5 and will 100% be selling it before the warranty runs out. I got underneath it and looked at the air suspension set up a couple weeks after we brought it home. Yeah, no thanks on maintaining that mess out of warranty. I will say, we’ve had it for a year or so and besides a few weird infotainment…
Pretty much any 10+ year old German car is going to send you to the poor house if you’re not handy with a wrench.
The Huayra is really let down by the infotainment screen. It somehow looks cheap. Absolute masterclass otherwise.
A brand new car doesn’t need trips to the service department? Is that an achievement for LR?
The problem with modern F1 tracks is that they’re specifically designed for modern F1 cars. Which means they’ll have long boring straights with sharp turns at the end of them, because that’s the only way modern F1 cars can pass. Add Tilke’s passion for zero elevation change and 90* corners and you’ll have yourself…
I don’t put last weekend on Bottas. But yeah, they’re going to have an Albon on their hands soon if they don’t show him some love.
Bottas is exactly what Mercedes needs him to be. Someone who can fend off a charging RB in the closing stages of a race. I don’t think he likes being that person very much though. Mercedes is quickly finding themselves in the position RB was in the last two years.
Kirkland brand goat cheese is amazing.
.....how on earth is this enforced??
The best part is, that Tesla is made in ‘Murica. A good portion of the domestic cars in the lot are made in Mexico and Canada.
