A shame, really. For the last couple of years PES was the better series in terms of gameplay, as it was for almost all of its history, but the UEFA license was the only thing keeping it competitive in terms of everything else.

I really enjoyed that game. It understood how dumb it was and it had fantastic combat.

I really wanted to like it, but the way in wich the game rewards experience just turned me off. Sure, I can beat a level in 4 turns using 3 units. That’s not how I want to do it though, and the game doesn’t let you without punishing you for it.

Let it be clear that I actually agree with your initial comment. The UK might suffer severe economic consequences and lose its position as an international power but this game does look ridiculous, dumb and easy. It could work as a parody of some apocalyptic lefty discourse, to be honest.
