Not even close. The Lakers have drafted poorly for years - they and Klutch felt they were entitled to Davis and orchestrated a narrative (with the help of a willing media of course) to make that happen. The Celtics have pretty much done the opposite, so they have better chips. It’s that simple.

There’s an inverse relationship between distance to the grocery store and weeknight traffic. Most people take the train to work where I live, so people tend to just stop off at the store while walking home to pick up things for tonight’s dinner, maybe tomorrow’s. You’d have to somehow establish that the johns knew or should have known that the person they paid was being trafficked. If they’re just responding to an ad or visiting a massage parlor that appears to offer consensual service, I imagine that would be difficult to prove. 

I’m curious - does anyone know how these guys were ID’d with DOB’s and everything? I always assumed this kind of thing was a cash-only affair. Were they actually dumb enough to lay down a card?

Yeah it’s a feature unique to high school and college periods (for most people anyway). You don’t have enough sense or perspective to just suck it up through feeling shitty, so both breaker-upper and broken-up-with are prone to some serious emotional backsliding in my experience.
