people with strong support systems get suckered into cults also. It is NOT just lonely people. This is the scary thing. In almost any story about a cult there are scores of examples of families and friends fighting tooth and nail to get their person out.
I hear you, but the more I learn about cults, the clearer it becomes: it is normal, well-adjusted people who get sucked in, not just the vulnerable. This is the power of cults.
prohibiting surrogacy is the same as our current prohibition on sex-work. Why (the actual hell) should something I can choose to do with my body for free, be illegal to do for pay? It isn’t exploitative if the women are well compensated. And there are about 10 million services that are only accessible to women (or…
I was gonna say... those pearls won’t feel nice digging into the backs of her thighs all night. That is a standing up dress.
JFC calm the fuck down. I’m no booster for Chris Pratt and his (sudden?) left turn into farm-boy christianity, but I have no issue with this.

“not all men” is just the modern proliferation of “the lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
i was confused and surprised when I saw those headlines, but they are so misleading. her calling rape “sexy” and her calling others out for thinking it’s “sexy” are two very different things and she did the latter.
I am so sorry. This is a scenario where the right thing for you conflicted with the right thing for society. The woman officer can be commended for helping you, but condemned for failing society.
they obviously don’t see it that way. It is true that many auto-immune conditions have risen dramatically over the last several decades and I think they’re pointing to that as the outcome of vaccination. But this is correlation vs. causation, alas.
exactly what personal freedom is one giving up by complying with mandatory vaccination? The freedom to... get sick?
It’s not so surprising but still gross, that so many white folks think that having elected Obama proves that “racism is over.”
Your last sentence is so important. A lot of the “backlash” against the Pill sort of assumes that women can’t make the cost/benefit tradeoff decision for themselves. We need to know and understand the side effects and decide what’s right for us on an individual basis. It almost feels like some people want to ban BC…
