I think you have to be a bit of a sociopath to run for president, but it shows through a LOT more in some candidates than others. I’m getting that whiff from Mayor Pete and Beto the most at the moment. Just really fucking arrogant.

This is insane. Full stop.
My company had a “what to know about measles” article on our intranet which says if you’re born before 1957 you’re considered immune to measles. This doesn’t apply to me (i’m probably one of those single shot MMR kids) but I’m so curious... what does this mean???? Are baby boomers magically immune to measles…
I wouldn’t have known had I not been born to tears on a flight back from NYC recently and it was the only show that looked vaguely watchable on the United entertainment thingy.
I LOVE my open shelving, but we also have a wall of cabinets for the unsightly stuff. It is life-changing to have drinking glasses and all our everyday dishes easily grab-able. And guests don’t have to keep asking where to find plates/glasses/coffee mugs.
I will say I liked my open floorplan condo. It was 800 square feet, so having one big living area between kitchen/living/dining helped not to feel sardine canned. But now I like my separate rooms.
this hurts my heart. I live in SF and it’s nearly impossible to tear a house down but goddamnit people literally remove everything behind the facade and start over with some shoddily constructed bullshit. Going to open houses was insanity. 110 yo stick victorian facade, nought but white sheetrock and granite open…
I mean, this is literally why marijuana and heroin were so severely criminalized under Nixon. Put the blacks and the hippies in jail. We know this now. It wasn’t a targeted strike against an individual rival, but against large groups who didn’t agree with the Republican party. Which is worse?
God I love Jen Gunter. My husband introduced me to her twitter feed and she is now 100% my favorite twitter-er. Snark and science? I’d like to subscribe to THAT newsletter.

I almost rage-stroke when i think about it. We can legally require medical professionals to lie, but we cannot compel religious organizations not to. It is so fucking insane. “Religious freedom” is such a cancer in this country.
Did Bill Cosby “need” to drug and rape women? Prolly not... he was a fucking massive celebrity. That’s not what it’s about ffs. Oy vey.
It makes me so freaking mad that apparently ignorance of the law may be a defense for Don Jr. et.al. because election law is complex. Um I feel like if you’re embarking on a campaign it should be incumbent on the campaign staff/personnel to do their due diligence in figuring out what’s legal and what’s not. Because…
tape the dress to itself where it crosses.
I’ve never considered a wrap dress appropriate for work, despite what some say. I do love them though, for special occasions. The last time I wore my DVF dress (purchased second-hand for like $80 on the RealReal, btw) I was newly pregnant and my boobs were eyuuuge already and it was a LOT. Especially considering it…
even if they said happy, it could spell embarrassment for said wives and thus they made the wise choice.
obviously?
I feel like there used to be a time when even Republicans could tolerate abortion in the case of sexual assault. I guess we’ve regressed to an even earlier time when sexual assault was just dramatic broads trying to get attention.
From my experience, a major element to whether a method like this is right for you is the regularity of your cycle. My cycle was as schizo as one can be (we analyzed 5 years of my cycle data before I went on the pill at 19) my min = 18 days, max = 54 days, standard dev was something nuts like 15 days. I’m pretty…
fair enough. But nowadays you can pretty much hire somebody to do anything for you. You can hire somebody to stake out a good spot at the park on nice Saturdays. Somebody to wait in line for you to get a cronut... things way less consequential than attempting to get enough sleep to be a functioning human with a…
