Religion requires you to believe in it for it to be true and it still can’t be demonstrated to be true. FIFY

it’s a vulnerable place, sincerity. Snark is as cozy as a fleece lined suit of armor.

Nah, it’s all a charade to claim the “conservatives are the mostest patriotic.”

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

yeah, i have every intention of buying a tankless if/when my water heater craps out.

these types of emotional problems are not at all uncommon amongst the very wealthy. Add to that the fact that they feel as if they can’t tell anyone about it because they’ll get shamed for feeling bad. No snark, I get how it can be a burden.

wow... that is... wow...

yeah, small business loans are notoriously hard to get these days. You can’t just walk into a branch and ask for a loan anymore. Even with a royal endorsement, apparently.

this is actually super common. (I have an MBA)

I’m still confused. You mentioned “on demand hot water” in the same breath as an Aston Martin as evidence of crazy extravagance. Hot water heaters are pretty standard. Can you explain? Your response above served to confuse me further about your intention.

I wondered if it was that, but we had one of those growing up. Granted, I grew up solidly upper middle class, but we were by no means flaunting wealth. Our kitchen had laminate counter tops. I don’t think those taps are very expensive, but who knows.

On-demand hot water? as in, a tankless water heater? What am I missing?

My sister once suggested buying a vintage Nazi medic’s kit for my dad for his birthday. I, and my step-mom, were like, ehhhhhhhhh NOPE NOPE NOPE. My sister was like “but why not? Dad’s super passionate about WWII”

Hmm, interesting. I’ve never heard of that. Wouldn’t it just technically be a puree, if the fibers remain?

They also have black honey eyeliner, which sounds weird, but it looks DOPE on everyone of every skin/hair color combo. I’m wearing it right now. It’s my fave.

agree with your rejection of snark. In the copious insta-ads I’ve seen for Glossier, the models strike me as *actually* not wearing much makeup as opposed to wearing tons of makeup to achieve the perfect “no-makeup” look.

“unless the child in question is an unborn fetus, in which case it is more important than anything in the world, especially the host, er, female.”

this is one thing that constantly baffles me. They’d rather risk the death of their child than risk autism? What kind of risk analysis is that? (obviously besides the point is that there is NO RISK of autism associated with vaccines)

I appreciate that comment, but... that was dustin hoffman?

Liberals are also excellent at taking the high road, which, sadly, isn’t effective in Washington...
