I gave it a NP. Caveat being a look at its extensive maintenance history which will get expensive and quick. Its at that tipping point where normal 30 year old wear items are starting to come into play and parts are not cheap and no one wants to work on them because of the rarity and complexity and lack of experiance.
well, for one, the US Navy Virginia Class submarine isn’t completely controlled by a video game controller - only the periscope is. the systems that actually matter in getting you down and back to the surface are much more complex and, more importantly, have redundancies.
I saw the headline and expected one of those baroque 30's replicas and almost lost my breakfast when this popped up.
All of (ok, almost all) the bad behavior by HOAs could be prevented by basic, respectful communication with the homeowner (or in this case: heirs). Their “fine/punish now - get facts later” sure paints them in demonic colors, doesn’t it?
Whoa the price of that Pathfinder you can get the same year model GX460 and it will be infinitely better in every single aspect of everything ever.
Just get a 2000$ 4x8 trailer for the occasional lumber
The dipshit seller needs to restore it to 100% if he wants that much for it.
Seller is out of his vulcan mind. He’s looking for someone else to take the loss on this and I hope it doesn’t work at all.
He’ll never unload it at that price, no way. Might be smarter to just part it out. That drivetrain alone should be worth something.
Googled this out of curiosity to see who this shop is, and found this ad from August 2021:
A guy in my town has two Lotuses (Loti?) because, as he told me, he always has one to drive while the other is in the shop. ND unless it came with a spare car.
What’s the old car restoration joke? The last 10% is 90% of the work?
This smells strongly like a mechanic’s lien vehicle - the seller was originally contracted to restore the car, but then the original owner lost interest, ran out of money or died - and the shop is trying to recoup the money they have outlaid.
I am not in a position to assume responsibility for this Lotus.
C’mon, this ain’t for fleet work. And likely has never been used as such.
The problem is the so called “conservancy” has done little to actually make it happen. I lived in Philly from ‘05 to ‘13 and there was always talk about doing something with it, but it never happened. The “conservancy” is to blame here. I bet everyone there has been collecting some pay for doing essentially nothing.
Yeah, I don’t really get it, either. The lyrics to her songs, especially the newer ones, seem like they were generated out of a “write a pop song that will appease the masses” ChatGPT prompt.
But I don’t want to bring more money. $38K is already too much for a Kia.
I can live with 232 miles of range. 167 horsepower? Nuh-uh.
