As a monster truck dork and Kids in the Hall fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Monster Truck guy checking in here. USHRA was/is (the name is getting kind of phased out) a sanctioning body under SRO/PACE/Monster Jam that set the rules for their events. MTRA is more of an organization for setting standards and guidelines. Different promoters follow different guidelines but both the USHRA and MTRA

No conspiracy here. It's a matter of a few things to take into account for the Tech Officials and Event Managers. 1. Are there any rotating parts broken/damaged? If not then there's a little more free reign to go wild. 2. Is the truck in a safe area? If they truck is far enough away from any other trucks, walls or

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Challenge Cup from Lake Elsinore will be live on MavTV Sunday at 5pm EST. Should be a crazy race.

Anybody else's local theater('s) not playing Rush? I was really disappointed to learn yesterday that my local theater isn't showing it. This is the first movie I've been remotely interested in going to see in quite sometime. Aggravating when they're showing two month old movies but not something that came out pretty

The TORC series (similar to LOORRS) will be live on NBC tomorrow as a part of the Red Bull Signature Series. Check it out at 2:30pm est.

Now playing

This is Short Course Off-Road Racing. The SST series was there as well as the TORC series. The SST trucks competed on a modified course while the standard Short Course trucks did the normal Crandon track.

Seen too many of these fires happen in short-course off road racing. Todd LeDuc had a pretty nasty fire a couple years ago when they flipped his truck back over while he was still in the truck. I was happy to see on a recent TV event that when Greg Adler's truck was flipped over during a full course caution, he got

This truck was built by the guys at Bigfoot who just happen to have built multiple trucks that have jumped over 200 feet. Once they tracked down the issue the truck performed just fine.

Big!

I probably just should've said drive shaft shield. Basically. They're guards to contain the drive shaft's in the event of breakage, so they don't become projectiles. You can see here the yellow drive shaft loops I'm referring to.

As someone who has shot my fair share of mud racing events, it's these types of incidents that should be waking up mud park and mud racing vehicle owners. This could've turned very ugly and been a horrible situation. The venues need to start adding more adequate barriers and creating seating areas at a safe enough
