What I find even more enjoyable is to covertly place my MicroMachines into any new glass bubble terrariums or airplants that my wife brings into the house. She hasn’t found them all yet.

I was a beverage salesman for years and can confirm this.

So this is exactly the same situation I’ve been in dozens of times. It most often happens when I’m already a bit anxious/stressed and most commonly when eating chicken wings. I’ve always chalked it up to rushing and not paying attention. I think I’ll mention this at my next checkup. Thank you.

100% this. Seems like these guy had access to some of the advanced acceleration modes.

David, this was a great (and emotional) way to end the season. I experienced a spooky coincidence this morning as I was driving in to work. At the exact moment one of the Appell brothers said “Holy Rood” I was waiting at the stoplight on Old Country Road staring directly at the cemetery’s wrought iron fence.

David, once again, great job. I’m really enjoying the overarching theme of memory. It’s stirring up a ton of old stories in my own head and inspired me to reach out to a few car buddies I haven’t spoken to since high school.

‘69 Dodge Charger Daytona. 440 - Hurst Pistol Grip 4 speed. Weekday curb-parked a mile from my house. Was out for a ride (that’s my bike tire next to the Exploder). Must’ve ridden past 3 times because I thought I was hallucinating. Haven’t seen it since.

I recently re-watched this and was blown away at how cheesy and drawn out that animated intro was. My teenage self must have thought those sweeping gauges were awesome when this movie came out.

David, I really enjoyed this, but I’m also a sucker for old Mopars. Any chance Jalopnik will dig into this man’s concept car?

Agreed. I have the tools, and I’ll get the knowledge if I don’t have it. What I don’t have is space, and they aint making any more of it. Apartment living is tough.

But we say “the LIE” not “the 495.”

1966 Dodge Polara convertible - owned it for 10 years, it ran well for approx 6 months of that time. I couldn’t keep up with it anymore. Sold it to a local guy 3 years ago, its been parked in the same spot in a municipal lot since then. Sad.

Obvious - Viper GTS

Agreed! I pinched my pennies from working my summer jobs and bought my own first car at 17, a ‘91 Grand Marquis for $500. I learned my way around the car pretty quickly and spent what I saved on building up my tool box.

Congrats Torch!

Start the restoration on that ‘65 Chrysler 300 rotting in the driveway.

I missed this one!
