26 here- I read the book last year and I have been looking forward to the movie, but the trailers have been hugely disappointing. Awful CGI and it looks like a monster movie- when the story is entirely about surviving the open Pacific for over 4 months. Half of the crew was black, and the book made some great points

I read the book, it is an AMAZING story of survival! The ship was wrecked by a huge bull sperm whale and the crew was thousands of miles out in the middle of the Pacific ocean. The ones who survived were out there for 96 days! The book is very well researched and written in a very readble story-telling fashion. This
