The worst part about this team is, has been, and will most likely continue to be the season ticket holders. In a system that has corrupted so terribly it makes Putin blush, these people have held on to their seats for years and will hand down to the next generation.
pick any random white player and they became a fan favorite. Travis Jervey, Jared Abbrederis, Jordy Nelson, Kuhn, Bill Schroeder, Jeff Janis.
went to college there, left, will never go back. To sum up my experience in the best Wisconsin way, I had a higher up co-worker say to me “you’ve got a bright future, but if you want to move up you need a new girlfriend.” She was Asian. That didn’t go over in WI. I left and married her.
I’ve realized that I’ve hit the point in life where I’m not checking out kids coming to college, I’m drawn to their moms who are in most cases younger than I am.
Agree. My admin’s kid was a D1 walk on who got a start and had a ridiculous game breaking his team’s 16 game losing streak. She and his younger sister ran out of the stands and mauled him at center court at the end of the game. It was awesome to watch. I’ll never begrudge a parent for being legitimately excited for the…
I sat by his parents at the BE tournament. His mom was super obnoxious!
McAlarney wins for me because A) he was from Staten Island, B) he was a Greyson Allen like dickhead on the court and C) he actually got nailed for a DUI on campus.
that was my college graduation year so I actually remember all of them. Hughes dropped 40 on my alma mater in 1998, I had a front row ticket for that. I later found out that to get him to stay home and go to Saint Louis the President of SLU had Hughes’ brother moved to the top of the heart transplant list.
I hear you. Del Taco’s $.99 half pound bean burrito got me through law school.
when I was a kid (maybe 5th grade, not sure) my friend’s family took us to Cedar Point (where every Michigan kid went in the summer). Before we crossed the border into Toledo my friend said “my dad’s coworker told me people in Ohio are really weird.” The first thing we see in Toledo - a man walking down the street…
You’ve got Team MAGA, the Perpetual Victims, and the Cheap Shot Artists (TM).
coming from Michigan, the home of Dr. Kevorkian, I’m pretty sure his “Death Machine” was just having dying patients watch Lions game.
Holy shit. This may be the darkest, most depressing entry in the history of this series:
unfortunately it was sane....compared to today. Sane is a relative term for the NRA but they actually did supported expanded background checks in 1999.
different time. The NRA was actually (somewhat) sane then - they actually supported background checks. The SCOTUS leaned left. If a case comes before them today you’d see the conservative justices holding AR-15's during oral arguments and Kavanaugh shotgunning Meister Brau.
He also has many leather bound books and his home smells of rich mahogany
Yeah, my buddy played AAU against Griffith and when he picked Bucky everyone knew something was up. Why would a guy that highly rated puck Wisconsin at that point in time. Plus, Griffith was borderline illiterate. And, it was known to Alvarez that Moss did lines of coke in the locker room in HS (couldn’t feel the…
You are dead on. I coached AAU. The team I got was the sucky rich kids whose parents wrote checks which paid for our program director’s Benz and paid for the scholarships some of the top kids on the elite traveling team got. My crappy team of HS freshmen played in tournaments with multiple kids taller than me (6-4)…
