He’s a great guy. A brewery in Oregon, Gilgamesh, brews a beer named after him (The Terry Porter, all proceeds to charity) and he was at the release party. The brewery reps brought a NBA Jam arcade game to the release party (they keep it in their brew house, how cool is that??) and he was playing with people there.

How can any list be complete without the original Punch Out? Only getting to play infrequently, since my town didn’t have an arcade, it took me years to beat Bald Bull, and when I finally did I was running around the place screaming in joy.

I was at a bar in Brooklyn and Q-bert had something like 90 credits on it. I had the top 25 scores when I walked away. Meanwhile, my wife and her cousins were playing Rampage and made it from Illinois, through Canada and down to LA before bailing.

sure, but that’s not how ad revenue is determined and that’s what the networks are most concerned about. The cost to air the NBA finals is far more for ABC than to show some BS reality show or season 42 of Grey’s Anatomy and thus they need higher ratings to increase ad rates. 

Yeah, I don’t buy into the season series stuff. OKC swept the Blazers and Denver won 3-1, with the only loss being when they sat Jokic and Murray since the #2 seed was already wrapped up, and Portland still had to come back in the 4th quarter to win that game.

I don’t like to get into NBA conspiracy theories but as I Blazers fan I am wary of this series. The ratings for Portland v. Milwaukee or Toronto will be an abomination. Canadian viewers don’t show up in Nielsen ratings. Golden State will bring in the casual viewer, Portland won’t.
