I don’t like to get into NBA conspiracy theories but as I Blazers fan I am wary of this series. The ratings for Portland v. Milwaukee or Toronto will be an abomination. Canadian viewers don’t show up in Nielsen ratings. Golden State will bring in the casual viewer, Portland won’t.

“The Process” got them Embid and Simmons, a PG who can’t and won’t shoot. The other draft picks were Noel, Okafor and Fultz. Hitting on 2 of 5 top 6 picks is pretty bad. Imagine if instead of Fultz they picked Tatum?

Simmons is wasting away because of his inability (refusal?) to develop a shot other than layups or dunks.  How dangerous in the post could Embid be if teams didn’t have the ability to sag off Simmons and double Embid?

Nobody was blaming Jokic. May 9 is “The Day of Golden Lilies” which commemorates the nine soldiers (the  names on Nurk’s shirt) who were killed defending Bosnia during the war.
