Plenty of people kill themselves just as a big “Fuck You!” to those close to them. The more public the suicide, the bigger the FU. Don’t underestimate the power of spite.

Because for most people your existence isn’t just about you. It’s selfish and weak. Furthermore, suicidal thoughts are often temporary and with the proper medication and/or therapy people turn around and live happy lives.

Killing yourself is wrong because your existence largely isn’t just about you. I carved out an exemption for terminally ill patients. I have no problem with people electing to end their lives when it’s nearly over.

F that, there needs to be a stigma for suicide. Unless terminally ill, you SHOULD feel like suicide is wrong. Normalizing it is idiotic.
