Democrats are always at a disadvantage because they are decent, reasonable, overall moral people who believe in fair play and operate in good faith. Republicans are none and do none of those things. It helps them gain and maintain power but at the end of the day their policies still suck.

If you recall, Bill Clinton spelled out a specific plan to remove himself and his family from the foundation to avoid conflicts of interest. Trump has done nothing similar.

The difference is that Clinton did not personally benefit financially from the Clinton Foundation. All of those donations went to fighting AIDS in Africa and helping poor farmers.
